Topic: The Reality of Village

We are drawn to films because they make us feel something.
More often than not, our thoughts and perceptions are shaped by the fictional world. That being said, The Neighbourhood Foundation invites documentary entries that capture the true essence of villages. Here is your chance to break out of stereotypes and bring your signature style into making a Documentary .

The competition will be open to all students/film makers across Tamilnadu.

What should I make a film on?

We solicit entries filming rural communities of the villages in Tamilnadu. The beauty of a society lies in its authenticity and there is nothing better than our villages to showcase it. Although they house the beauty of our culture, they also face an array of difficulties with regard to their basic needs. Make a Documentary film on their basic needs and the hardships they face.

Participation details

The docudrama contest should have a duration of 20 mins to 40 mins. The film may focus on

Judging Criteria :

A selection core committee will review Documentary submissions based on the following criteria:

  • Interpretation of the theme
  • Creativity
  • Originality
  • Audio-Video Quality
  • No fiction
  • Resource Validation
