our cause to uplift underprivileged people with contributions, as little as just Rs. 50.
How we work
- Neighbourhood Foundation, identify and assess the villages and their needs.
- The NGO will raise funds and provide lights to the identified villages.
- People will get a demonstration of the product and be taught how to care for it.
Imagine living in a world with little or no light when the sun sets. That’s the plight of an estimated 300 million Indians — a quarter of the population, mostly the rural poor. The provision of electricity to towns and villages is well known to be irregular and unpredictable. There are even more villages that are not connected to electricity. Kerosene lamps provide light and there are health costs from kerosene, which is the main source of lighting for 43 percent of rural India. For this 2022, to lead people into their New Year full of hopes and aspirations, Neighbourhood Foundation is resuming its Let’s Light India campaign once again. We are back on ground, to identify and deliver sustainable lighting solutions to homes that can’t afford electricity or lighting.
Neighbourhood Foundation, which is working to enhance the life quality of the rural population, initiated a “Let’s light India” campaign, to bring people from the darkness by providing solar lights in the identified villages. The solar lights will be very helpful for the children to study during night time. For this New Year one can change the life of people by donating for the campaign to bring light in the life of the people.
WE HELP AROUND THE NATION
